Innovation and creativity were the focus of the event at the uvex group headquarters in Fürth. As part of the ‘Cross-Media Marketing’ project, students of Media and Communication Studies at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences presented their final theses to a high-profile audience. The highlight of the event was the award ceremony, at which prizes were awarded for the top three campaigns.
In close cooperation with uvex safety, represented by Thorsten Udet (Director Marketing & Communication), Dagmar Hugenroth (Director Corporate Branding & Marketing) and Moritz Maier (Director Marketing uvex sports group), 14 teams of 5th semester students were tasked with developing a cross-media campaign under the claim ‘made2perform’. The aim was to combine the uvex safety and uvex sports divisions and to position the uvex brand as a leader in innovation.
‘We are very pleased with the results of this challenging project,’ said Dagmar Hugenroth, Director Branding & Marketing at uvex group. ’The collaboration with Ansbach University is a successful example of how companies can benefit from new ideas from students and from the high-quality results of professional exchange.’
‘Projects like this are an invaluable asset for our students,’ explained Prof. Renate Hermann, project manager at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. ’They can experience first-hand how the knowledge they have acquired can be applied in the real world of work, while also gaining valuable experience in direct exchange with an internationally successful company.’
The event offered participants not only exciting pitches, but also a deep insight into the uvex mission of protecting people. Michael Winter, managing partner and CEO of the uvex group, praised the innovative approaches. ‘Our claim made to perform stands for the passion, motivation and top performance that our products embody in both sports and occupational safety. Our goal for users, athletes, employees and every individual is the winner's podium. With their work, the students at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences have achieved this today,’ said Michael Winter, managing partner and CEO of the uvex group.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry experts and make valuable contacts.
