New dual leadership takes over management of the uvex sports group
From 1 January 2024, the uvex sports group with its brands uvex, ALPINA and Hiplok will have new dual leadership: Patrick Hebling and Patrick Angeletti will be appointed to the Management Board as CEO and CFO/COO. Michael Winter, Managing Partner of the uvex group, explains: "When appointing new members to the management board, we will be relying on proven talent from within our own ranks. I am delighted that we have found two experienced and successful managers who are very familiar with our family business and the challenging market environment.“
In the past financial year 2022/23, the uvex sports group has had to contend with massive losses in sales and earnings caused by continued consumer reluctance to buy and ruinous competition from low-cost suppliers from the Far East.
Michael Winter explains: "In addition to expertise, the current situation calls for continuity and a fresh start. The powerful dual leadership team of Patrick Hebling and Patrick Angeletti will meet the current challenges. The strategies, processes and structures of the uvex sports group have been optimised and together, we have set the course for a successful future."
CEO Patrick Hebling: at home in the sports goods industry
Patrick Hebling, most recently Business Unit Director Brand/Product & Sales at ALPINA, is to become the new CEO. He has been working for ALPINA, the second strong brand in the uvex sports group, since 2014. He started his career there as International Sales Director. Patrick Hebling has over 20 years of experience and expertise in the sports goods industry. He has held various positions during his professional career.
CFO/COO Patrick Angeletti: Finance and factories
Patrick Angeletti will become Commercial Director for the uvex, ALPINA and Hiplok brands. He will also be responsible for managing the uvex plants at Lederdorn and Nyrsko. He has been Director Finance & Commercial Services at the uvex sports group since 2021 and previously held commercial positions at several well-known companies including HRS, Döhler Group and BASF.
